Randal Birkey

Randal began a career in custom architectural illustration and technical illustrations for customers nation-wide in 1980. Randal created BIRKEY.COM as his online illustration portfolio in 1996. Three years later he merged it with a software company and built it as a web design and development firm from 1999-2007. He sold his interest in that business in 2007 and started Headstand Media as a Chicago-based digital strategy and web design firm, which he has managed since that time.

Randal enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading fiction, motorcycle riding and playing guitar. Other interests include: travel, blogging, watercolor painting, hot rod pickup trucks, and performing bluegrass and country music.
