Another “Best of 2010″ list for you today, folks. I am listing the best restaurants I tried (or tried again) this year around Chicago. Due to my aversion to cooking, and my love of new places – I’ve been to quite a few restaurants this year. Below are the restaurants where I had memorable meals in 2010. What restaurant or meal sticks out to you in 2010? What suggestions do you have for me in 2011?

The Meal: Ropa Vieja Dinner Platter with Fried Maduros
The Deal: Cuban has flavor – so does this restaurant. If you bring your own wine, have them throw it into their sangria mix!

The Meal: The Kaijo Burger (bleu cheese, bacon, frizzled onions)
The Deal: Decor and Music is all metal – not for children or the faint of heart.

The Meal: We shared family style, so my meal was one of just about everything sushi/sashimi.
The Deal: Not just sushi – Chikurin has all type of asian meals. The pot stickers and dragon roll were my favorite for the night.

The Meal: Chopped Pork Sandwich with Brand Signature and Bourbon Mustard sauces and a side of sweet potato fries
The Deal: Some gourmet twists on classic BBQ’s. The sauces here are definitely the best part.

The Meal: Spinach Pizza followed by Chocolate Chip Cookie Pizza
The Deal: Obviously, Lou’s is not a new restaurant for me but in 2010 I did find a new love for the spinach pizza.

The Meal: The Bostation Roll, plus whatever else I grabbed from the convey0r belt.
The Deal: Small plates literally rotate around a convey0r belt. Just grab what you want from your seat at the bar!

The Deal: Headstand’s favorite hot dog place, just across the loop from us.

The Meal: Tacos Al Pastor
The Deal: Restaurant seating or walk up taco stand – your choice. Also, after ordering to-go one night, we got a spicy chicken flavored lollipop which we thought was pretty cool.

The Meal: Flaming Saganaki Cheese, Beef Tenderloin Shish Kabob
The Deal: Greeks fry cheese – therefore I am a fan. And Greek Islands fries cheese really well!

The Meal: Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and local wines
The Deal: All locally sourced organic foods on the rotating menu. Local wines, breweries, artists, and musicians are also featured.

Nice list Megan. If folks haven’t tried 90 Miles yet… then need to. Soooo good. Also a thumbs up for America’s Dog, Greek Islands and Lou Malnatis. :)
