Day CQ Product History

Day Software was a global technology and software company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland acquired by Adobe Systems, Inc. in 2010-2011. Day Software had produced a leading-edge enterprise web content management (WCM) system using open source standards and technologies targeted at large enterprise applications. The product was called Communique, or “CQ” for short, with the current version being Adobe CQ5.X.

Current CQ Product Position

Since the Adobe acquisition, the product has undergone some rebranding and repositioning within the broader suite of Adobe business and enterprise software solutions. CQ is now a part of the Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform (ADEP) in a sub category called  the Web Experience Management suite, along with Scene7. Within ADEP are also Adobe LiveCycle and Adobe Analytics (formerly Omniture).

Headstand Media was a Day Professional Partner before the acquisition, and is now an Adobe Solution Business Partner. Since 2009 we have served customers with the largest and oldest CQ implementations in North America. This experience provides us with a unique ability to focus on assisting and training our customers in the practical use of CQ in daily authoring and management of content.
