Social Media
Social media has come to mean quite a number of things in the marketplace today, and at Headstand Media we help our clients investigate, develop, integrate, and launch various social media efforts. Many organizations spin their wheels by chasing after the newest shiny objects without any real strategy in place. While Facebook and Twitter have their strengths, we like to push well past shallow “post-about-everything-we-do” methods and actually use social media as a tool for engaging real people. Looking first at a client’s overall web presence, search strategies, marketing goals, and key audiences, Headstand Media provides excellence in comprehensive social media consulting and implementation. About Boxed Wine
Headstand Media provided a comprehensive online web strategy that has allowed AboutBoxedWine.com to become the definitive expert site on boxed wine. Along with branding and interface design, we integrated tools and experiences into their site to leverage existing online communities and emerging social technologies, such as rating wine, blogging, discussion boards, viral video campaigns and Facebook and Twitter strategies.
Funny Signs
One of the ways funnysigns.net has been so successful is the strategic use of various social media channels. Funny signs has a strong presence on Facebook and also uses websites such as Twitter, StumbleUpon and Pinterest to share our content and drive traffic to the site. These social media efforts were part of the reason that in it's first year, the new site had over 1,000,000 visitors and almost 5,000,000 page views!
HBN Brand Design
Along with providing direction on the effective usage of HBN's Facebook, Twitter and blogging presence, Headstand Media developed and rolled out a social campaign to support an online design contest that HBN was a part of.
Beesource
Beesource.com was founded in 1999 by Barry Birkey, a beekeeping hobbyist and brother to Headstand Media founder, Randal Birkey. Barry incorporated into the Beesource Beekeeping experience much of the information he was gaining from other newsgroups and listserv groups he had joined, along with his own beekeeping experiences and networking with other beekeepers. The site has been redesigned and upgraded many times since its humble beginnings and currently uses cutting edge open source technologies of WordPress and vBulletin.
With the help of design and search strategy provided by Headstand Media, in addition to member donations, Google Ads and paid sponsor advertising, Beesource is still offered free to the public. It has grown to be the largest, most trafficked and authoritative website on the topic of beekeeping in the world.
